No unfortunately we cannot switch team members once the event has started.

The team can decide who runs each stage each day.

What happens if one of us has an injury and can't run a stage or has to pull out?

Please speak to the event team on the day to talk through options. Either a teammate will need to run 2 stages in a day or you will need to skip one stage each day.

Do we need to sort our own insurance cover?

Yes, we require each participant to have their own insurance. Please speak to your insurance company and explain exactly what you are doing to ensure you are covered.

How will Brexit affect this?

With the Brexit deal agreed the way ahead is becoming clearer for event organisers. Things are still developing and inevitably there are teething troubles but we continue to monitor the situation and will provide participants with all the information required well ahead of the event.

How will we navigate on the route?

Each team will be provided with a live tracking device and access to our route map. We require runners to download the RunGo App and we will send across the running route for you to download. RunGo acts as a SatNav for runners and will provide turn by turn directions for each runner – a headphone is recommended. Team mates, friends and family will be able to follow runners progress on the live tracking device and this will act as your baton to pass between teammate at the changeover points and handed into basecamp HQ each evening for recharging.

We are offering guaranteed refunds to all participants if required and wish you all good health at this difficult time.

Fundraising

What is the fundraising target?

We ask that each participant raises a minimum of £400 per person.

Can I get help reaching the sponsorship target?

Of course, we are always at the end of the phone so please get in touch Email – info@run2paris.com , call – 01887 820 692

Why do I have to raise money and where does it go?

Run2Paris is a charity fundraising event. The money raised will go to the Run2Paris Foundation who will split the money 50/50 with Parkinson’s UK and SSAFA.

What happens if I do not reach the minimum sponsorship target?

You will need to raise £300 on your online page by the 25th April, a month before the event to confirm participation in Run2Paris.

Most people find that once they start fundraising they not only reach the target but go far beyond as it is such a great challenge to take on. Of course we are here to help you along the way with anything you need. You also have up to two months after the event to continue to raise the money once you have completed the challenge.

How do I apply for matched funding from my employer?

Many companies will match up to 100% of the donations you collect. Each company has a different policy and so please contact your HR or corporate social responsibility teams to find out more.

Is Gift Aid included in my sponsorship target?

Like many other events, is that Gift Aid is not included in minimum sponsorship targets.

Can I fundraise online?

Absolutely – online fundraising is a fantastic way for you to collect sponsorship from your friends, family and colleagues, particularly those you don’t see every day. From your donors’ point of view, it is a quick, easy and secure method of donating. When you register for the event you have your fundraising page automatically created for you. This is your page, add your picture, write some text about what you’re doing and why, set your fundraising target, then send the link out to everyone you have ever met so that they can sponsor you easily and securely.

Can we fundraise jointly as a team?

Yes – it can make your fundraising target easier to meet if you fundraise together. You will even have a team fundraising page which is created automatically when you register as a team. Just remember that the sponsorship requirement is £400 per person, so if five of you fundraise together, you need to raise £2000.

I’ve collected in my sponsorship money and have some cash. How can I pay everything in?

If you have cash, please bank it and sponsor yourself on your online fundraising page.
